Spring Style

Welcome to Spring banner

Hello lovelies and hello spring!  We hope everyone's year started off great.  It's been a while since we've talked.  We just wanted to pop in and chat for a bit on ways you can bring Spring to your home.  BONUS, if you make it all the way through, there's a freebie at the bottom!

First off, let's talk about our recently redone front entry.  It screams spring!  Using just paper and a few small elements we were able to create a focal wall that helped tie the space together.

Starting with a very large piece of foam board we covered the entire front with paper.  We used Modge Podge and French paper from a vintage book.  Then we searched our poster collection and found some very cool floral prints.  Laying them on the board, we decided to start layering flowers upon flowers.  We liked the way the colors were starting to pop on it.  The pinks, purples, and greens were really showing off.  Once we had all of the floral prints down, we knew there needed to be some additional textures.  Using a paper cutter we made small gold bees and a few curly q's.  We liked the whimsy touch it added.  We also found some fun wood accents to add to the corners of the board.  And VIOLA!  You have the perfect La Mur de Fleurs (The Wall of Flowers) for your space. See what we used to create our wall below. All items are available in our shop (except for the mat board and glue used), so you can stop in and get the supplies to create your own floral wall.

Secondly, I know you're wondering how in the world do I implement this into my space?  Well, for starters you can add floral art to your walls by hanging up floral posters or prints.  Make sure to check out the bonus below!  Add layers to it by adding bees and butterflies to the edges of the prints.  Sometimes a room can look refreshed entirely just by simply changing up the art.

To add an even more spring look to your home create a centerpiece on your dining table.  Start by adding a moss runner to your table. Add a wicker basket to the center of the table.  To the basket place a grouping of our terra cotta pots with a few faux succulents inside.  Add another layer of our terra cotta pots to the moss runner. You can never have too much greenery when it comes to a spring tablescape so add more to the pots until it looks full. If you want to go all out sprinkle some rocks and potting soil to emphasize the look. This will look best sprinkled around the terra cotta pots.  Make sure to lay some of the terra cotta pots on their sides and have the soil and rocks spilling out of them.  To add to the look, we recommend adding some of our Faux Bois Mushrooms and Cast Concrete birds.
